The city of Venice would become a source of inspiration and subject of her works.

The artist delivers abstract paintings in which the colors (mainly black, gold, red and white) are combined generating vertical and horizontal geometric shapes that intertwine. They seem like many alleys or channels that create a maze.

In her paintings, Adriana Cicognani does not show the monuments of Venice but her essence, her inner structure. Instead of putting what she sees on the canvas, she prefers to put what she feels, what arouses emotion.
